Home Care terms
The terms for Computer Connections Home Care Protect and Home Care Plus.
These terms apply to Home Care plans from Computer Connections of WI, Inc., 2670F E. Main Street, Reedsburg, WI 53959 ("we", "us").
The plans
Home Care Protect includes monitoring of the covered computer, managed antivirus, and installation of Windows and supported application updates. Home Care Plus adds remote support for everyday software problems on the covered computer. Each plan covers one computer running a supported version of Windows.
Billing
Plans are billed monthly in advance by automatic payment to the card or bank account you provide. If a payment fails we will contact you; protection and support may be paused until the account is current.
Cancelling
You may cancel at any time from your online account or by calling us. Service continues to the end of the month already paid, then we remove our monitoring agent and antivirus from the computer. We do not refund partial months.
Remote access
By signing up you allow us to install our monitoring agent and connect to the covered computer remotely. We connect only to work on a problem you have reported or one our monitoring has detected, or to perform maintenance described in these terms. We will never contact you unexpectedly and ask you to install software or give us access; if anyone does this claiming to be us, hang up and call (608) 524-2610.
What is not included
Hardware parts and repairs, work that requires the computer to be brought to the shop, data recovery, setting up new computers or devices, and support for computers not on a plan are billed at our normal rates. Home Care Plus covers remote help within reasonable use; we will tell you before any work falls outside the plan.
Your responsibilities
Keep the computer connected to the internet so it can be monitored and updated, and keep your own backups of important files unless you have a separate backup service from us. No antivirus or monitoring service can prevent every problem.
Privacy
Information we collect through the agent (such as computer health, installed software and security events) is used only to provide the service. Our privacy policy applies.
Changes
We may change these terms or plan prices with at least 30 days' notice by email or text.
